In January 2017 Colowyo received final approval of the Mine Plan from the U.S. Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE). While this was a major milestone for the continued operation of the Colowyo Mine, some remaining permits are still required before mining in the area can commence. Colowyo continues to work with local, state and federal agencies to obtain the necessary remaining permits. Click here for additional details.
