About the Collection
The Colorado Mining Association Photographs Collection includes photographic prints and negatives of mines, persons, and mining-related activities in Colorado. Most of the photographs were taken during 1930-1960, and many were taken by professional photographers in conjunction with publication of the Association’s Year Book.
The evening’s events will include:
3:00-5:00 pm: Enjoy an optional one-hour tour of the Mines Museum of Earth Science led by Museum Executive Director Renata Lafler. [Meet at museum entrance, 1310 Maple Street]
4:00-6:00 pm: Join the reception in the Library’s Boettcher Room with wine bar and hors d’oeuvres. The reception will include a gift ceremony, a presentation by Head of Special Collections Lisa Dun on the project to digitize the photographs, and a tour of the Mining History Archive, Digital Lab and Preservation. [Arthur Lakes Library, main floor, 1400 Illinois Street].
